About the Pharmacy

The aim of the program Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy is to prepare Professional pharmaceuticals, provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary for performing pharmaceutical duties, and help them realize their potential as a highly-qualified doctor. International European University in Poland offers students well-equipped biology and chemistry laboratories, digital libraries, 5-G-enabled devices, and a lot of other tools necessary to help the students obtain new knowledge and skills and make their learning process easy and interesting.

Duration of studying – 5 years of full-time studying (Bachelor of Pharmacy), 2-3 years of full-time studying (Master`s Degree).

The Educational Process

After finishing your studying process you will be able to:

  • develop and draw up technological documentation for the production (manufacture) of medicines in pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies;
  • choose a rational technology, to make medicines in various dosage forms according to doctors’ prescriptions and orders of medical institutions, to issue them for release. Perform technological operations: weigh out, measure, and dose a variety of medicines by weight, volume, etc;
  • substantiate the technology and organize the production of medicines at pharmaceutical companies;
  • organize and conduct rational procurement of medicinal plant raw materials
  • implement a set of organizational and managerial measures to provide the population and health care facilities with medicines, etc. goods of pharmacy assortment;
  • carry out all types of accounting in pharmacies, and administrative records. To implement the processes of commodity analysis, provide input quality control of medicines, and document their results;
  • calculate the main economic indicators of pharmacy activities, as well as taxes and fees. To form all types of prices (wholesale, purchase, and retail) for medicines and medical devices;
  • develop, implement and apply management approaches in the professional activities of pharmacies, wholesale intermediaries, manufacturing companies, and other pharmaceutical organizations following the principles of Good Practice in Pharmaceutical Education and the FIP Global Framework;
  • consider data on socio-economic processes in society for the pharmaceutical supply of the population, determine the effectiveness and availability of pharmaceutical care in terms of health insurance and reimbursement of the cost of medicines;
  • apply modern methods of quality control of medicines and medicinal plant raw materials in professional activities;
  • carry out all types of quality control of medicines; draw up quality certificates, considering the results of the control;
  • determine the main organoleptic, physicochemical, chemical, and pharmaco-technological indicators of medicines, to substantiate and choose methods for standardization, to carry out statistical processing of results;
  • select biological objects of analysis, determine xenobiotics and their metabolites in biological environments, and evaluate the results based on the spread of toxins through the body;
  • determine the influence of environmental factors: moisture, temperature, light, etc. on the stability of medicines and medical devices;
  • use clinical, laboratory, and instrumental research data to monitor the efficacy and safety usage of medicines;
  • provide pre-medical care to patients and victims in extreme situations;
  • determine the advantages and disadvantages of medicines of different pharmacological groups, considering their biopharmaceutical, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic features;
  • recommend the consumers’ medicines and products of the pharmacy range with the provision of advisory assistance;
  • carry out sanitary-educational work in professional activity in case of outbreaks of infectious diseases.

  • Pharmacology (Study of Effects of Drugs on The Human Body and Biological Systems, Biology, Physiology, and Chemistry; Basic, Advanced, and Clinical Pharmacology);
  • Pharmacognosy (Study of Medicinal Drugs Made of Plants; Botany, Plant Science, and Phytochemistry);
  • Biochemistry (Study of Biological Reactions Within Living Organisms)
  • Microbiology (Study of Microorganisms, Bacteria, Viruses, Protozoa, Etc.);

The student can enter the postgraduate education program (Master, Ph.D., Doctorate, Clinical Residency), where training is carried out according to the educational programs of preparation for a pharmacy specialist of a certain specialization.

After completing the educational professional program of the specialty «Pharmacy» a specialist is to obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy.

The Master of Pharmacy can work in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry, in forensic chemical and toxicological laboratories, research institutes, clinical health care institutions, higher education institutions, and branch institutions of various departments, performing the relevant functions.
